Can you believe another year is almost over? It’s that time again—the one where we collectively look back, shake our heads at how quickly the year flew by and start thinking about what’s next. But before you dive headfirst into planning for the new year ahead, let’s hit pause and take a moment to reflect on all you’ve achieved, learned, and maybe survived (because some years feel like a bit of a marathon, don’t they?).
It’s a chance to pause, reflect, celebrate the wins, acknowledge the struggles, and get excited about what’s to come.
Look Back Before You Leap Forward:
Before you jump into setting goals, let’s reflect on everything this year threw your way—good, bad, and “oh, let’s never do that again.”
Celebrate the good stuff:
What worked well this year? Did you finally tackle something that has been sitting on your to-do list for a while? Did you land the dream client, hit a personal milestone, or maybe you started a new project? Think about the moments that made you smile, brought you joy, or gave you that “I’m smashing this” feeling. Jot it all down, big or small.
What didn’t quite work?:
Were there things that drained your energy or left you feeling stuck? Did you overcommit and end up running on fumes?
Take a quick look at how you spent your time this year:
Did your schedule reflect what truly matters to you? Did you leave space for rest, fun, and things you genuinely love? Maybe you took on too many commitments and it’s time to reclaim a few hours for things you enjoy.

Getting Ready for The New Year:
Now that you’ve had a good look back, it’s time to get excited about what’s ahead. Setting goals doesn’t have to be super serious or set in stone.
Dream Big, Plan Small
Sure, it’s fun to set big goals and projects—but the magic is in breaking them down into small, manageable steps. Want to grow your business, start a new project, or finally conquer that software you’ve been avoiding? Start small.
Focus on Progress, Not Perfection
Here’s the thing—the new year doesn’t need to be about “nailing it” every single day. Some days will be amazing, and others will involve pyjamas, the sofa, and a film. Both are totally fine. The aim is progress and making sure to take you time – after all, you can’t run on an empty battery.
Keep It Fun
Add a little joy into your plans. Set goals that genuinely excite you—not just the ones you feel like you “should” be aiming for.
New Year, New Opportunities
The best part about a new year? It’s a fresh start. Take everything you’ve learned from this year, sprinkle in some new ideas, and step into the new year with confidence and excitement. You’ve already achieved so much—just imagine what’s next.
Here’s to a bright and beautiful New Year filled with new opportunities, big wins, and plenty of fun along the way!
