Take a day out of your business to work on where it’s going next.
Step away from the day-to-day and look at where your business is now, where you want it to go and what needs your attention next.
Led by Michelle Eddahar and Tracy Marland, with more than 50 years of combined business and marketing experience, this interactive day brings your business strategy, marketing and social media together, so you can make more informed decisions about where to focus next.
You’ll have the time to actually work on your business during the day, so you leave having made progress, not simply with more things to add to your to-do list.
Breaks included
Lunch & refreshments included
When you’re busy running a business, most of your time is spent doing exactly that: running it.
Looking after customers, delivering the work, keeping on top of everything that needs doing and trying to find time for marketing somewhere in between. It’s very easy to keep moving from one week to the next without having much opportunity to properly look at the bigger picture.
Sometimes, that’s exactly what your business needs.
Time to look at what’s working and what isn’t. To understand where your customers and sales are really coming from. To think about where the opportunities might be, whether your marketing is helping you reach the right people and, importantly, what you actually want from your business next.
That’s what we’re creating the space for with this day.
Whether you need to build stronger foundations, make changes to something that isn’t working or work out how to take an already successful business further, you’ll have a full day to focus on your business, your marketing and what makes sense for where you want to go next.
Does any of this sound familiar?
It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been in business, what industry you’re in or what your ambitions for the future look like.
You’ll be working on your business, your goals, your customers and your opportunities. Whether you want to build stronger foundations, create more consistency, grow, change direction or simply get clearer about what comes next, the day starts with where you are now and where you want to go.

Reviews
The most excellent workshop this morning with Tracy Marland of Social Butterfly Digital about making social media work for your business…but it was so much more than that
It’s easy to feel like you’re drowning with socials, as there seems to be SO MUCH…choosing what to do, where to focus, getting over the ick (or is that just me) of putting yourself out there…it can feel occasionally er, pointless/time-sapping?!…but no more! thank you Tracy for clarifying why the **** we do it, all the good reasons TO DO IT, how to figure out what exactly TO DO, and what it all means – more traffic, more leads, more business!!
My objective was to get some focus on making plans to help me grow the business and Michelle was so knowledgeable and really helped me drill down on what we should be doing, whilst allowing me the time that I don’t usually have to give it my attention. The content was incredibly helpful and thought provoking, and all the takeaways and ongoing support will be invaluable. Thank you!
The workshop will run from 9am to 3:30pm at The Barn at Great Moorleaze Farm.
Tea and coffee will be available on arrival, with a short mid-morning break before we stop for a cold buffet style lunch at midday, catered by Out of the Box Catering. Dietary requirements can be catered for.
Following lunch, we’ll continue with the afternoon workshop sessions and practical activities.
We understand that some attendees may need to leave slightly earlier for the school run or other commitments, and that’s absolutely fine. The day is designed to feel supportive, relaxed and practical, while still giving you plenty of value and actionable takeaways throughout the day.

Bring whatever you normally like to work with, whether that’s your laptop, tablet, notebook or good old-fashioned pen and paper. As this is a practical day, you’ll be working directly on your own business, so having access to any information you regularly use may also be helpful. Some exercises may be easier with access to your phone or laptop, particularly during the marketing and social media sessions, but you’ll also have workbooks and worksheets to work through during the day.
Whatever you feel comfortable in! This is a relaxed BWi event, so there’s no need for formal business wear. You’ll be spending a full day thinking, talking and working, so come dressed in whatever helps you feel comfortable and ready to get involved.
You won’t need to complete lots of homework before you arrive. We may send you a few simple prompts beforehand to help you get the most from the day, but the important work will happen while you’re in the room. Having a general understanding of your income streams, targets and how your business currently makes money will help you get more from the strategy exercises.
Yes. This isn’t a formal networking event, but being in the room with other businesswomen is part of what makes an in-person day so valuable. There’ll be opportunities during arrival, breaks, lunch and the interactive parts of the workshop to share ideas, hear different perspectives and make connections naturally.
Yes, we will do our best to cater for all dietary requirements and allergies. Please use the section in the checkout form to list any requirements you have.
Your £129 ticket includes everything you need to make the most of a day focused on you and your business. Your ticket covers the full day, so once you arrive, everything you need for the workshop is taken care of:

Why bring business strategy and marketing together?
We all know we need to market our businesses, but posting more often or trying to keep up with every new platform or algorithm isn’t a strategy on its own.
Before you can decide where to show up, what to say or what content to create, it helps to be clear about the business behind it.
What are you trying to achieve? Who do you need to reach? What do your targets and income streams look like? What does your customer journey tell you?
That’s why this day starts with your business and then connects that thinking directly to your marketing and social media.
By working through the day in this order, your marketing becomes part of the bigger picture rather than another separate task on your to-do list.
Give yourself the time to actually work on it
How often do we think, “I really need to sit down and sort that out,” only for something else to take priority?
A couple of hours can give you useful ideas. A full day gives you the space to properly work through them.
You’ll have time to think, ask questions, talk through ideas, get another perspective and apply what you’re working on directly to your own business, with Michelle and Tracy there to support you throughout the day.
The aim is for you to leave having made progress, not simply with more things to find time for later.
Start thinking about 2027 before January arrives
September always feels like a bit of a reset. Summer is coming to an end, routines are returning and there are still a few valuable months of 2026 ahead.
Rather than reaching January and only then starting to think about what you want from the year ahead, this is an opportunity to take stock now.
What has worked this year? What needs more attention? What might you want to do differently? And where do you want your business to be this time next year?
With customer behaviour, AI, marketing and social media continuing to change, it’s also a good time to make sure the way you’re currently reaching people still makes sense for your business.
Imagine starting 2027 already clearer about where you’re heading, what deserves your focus and how your marketing can support it.

We’ve chosen The Barn at Great Moorleaze Farm to give us the space for the kind of day we want this to be: relaxed, interactive and with plenty of opportunity to work, talk and share ideas.
We’ve used the venue for a previous BWi event, and it was really well received by attendees. The light, spacious setting gives us room for a cabaret-style layout, so you can work comfortably throughout the day while still being able to connect and chat with the other women around your table.

Fantastic workshop on Increasing your engagement on Social Media. I would recommend this workshop to anyone who is fairly new to social media. I learnt a lot and the trainer was excellent.
She empowers us to lead, equips us with the resources we need to serve the community, and inspires us with her big dreams. Michelle is sharp and smart. Her advice helps people think logically about their business before making emotional decisions. I am honoured to work with Michelle to build our business women community. She is an asset to any organisation who wants an emphatic and inspirational advisor to help them achieve big goals.
I recently heard Tracy speak at an event about social media. Her talk was informative, supported by factual evidence and contained many valuable tips to support a more effective use of social media. Her content showed her skill in this area and I would be confident in recommending her to anyone who wanted to improve their social media performance, and also recommend her as a speaker at business events.
Yes. You don’t need to have been running your business for a certain length of time or reached a particular turnover to benefit.
If you’re relatively new, the day will help you think more strategically about the foundations you’re building, who you want to reach, what you want your business to achieve and how your marketing can support those goals.
You’ll work from where your business is now, rather than being expected to fit into a one-size-fits-all approach.
Absolutely. This day isn’t just about starting or fixing a struggling business.
Perhaps your business is doing well but growth has levelled off. You may want to explore new income streams, attract more of the right customers, understand what’s actually driving results or simply take the time to reassess where you’re heading next.
Sometimes the businesses that are busiest find it hardest to make time to step back and look at the bigger picture.
It’s both, and that’s what makes this day different.
The first half of the day focuses on your business strategy, helping you look at your goals, customers, income streams, opportunities and priorities so you have greater clarity about where your business is going.
The second half turns that thinking into a more focused approach to your marketing and social media. You’ll explore your messaging, marketing funnel, the right platforms for your business, growing and engaging the right audience, content types, algorithms and how to make your social media work more effectively.
Bringing the two together means you’re not looking at your marketing in isolation. You’ll understand what you want your business to achieve and how your marketing and social media can help you achieve it.
You might already use social media regularly, post occasionally or feel completely unsure about where you should be showing up.
The aim isn’t to assume everyone has the same level of knowledge. Tracy will help you look at which platforms are right for your business, your audience, messaging, content, engagement and how social media fits into your wider marketing.
Yes. The principles we’ll be working through apply whether you sell products, services or a combination of both.
The specifics will naturally be different for every business, which is exactly why this is an interactive day. You’ll be applying the exercises and thinking to your own customers, goals, income streams and marketing, rather than being given a generic strategy to copy.
Yes. This is one of the most important parts of the day.
You won’t spend six hours listening to presentations and leave with pages of notes to deal with when you get home.
There will be practical exercises, workbooks and worksheets, opportunities for discussion and dedicated time to apply what you’re learning directly to your own business.
The work starts in the room, not when you get home.
The aim is for you to leave with greater clarity about where your business is going, what deserves your attention and how your marketing can better support your goals.
You’ll have worked through practical exercises covering your business, customers, opportunities, marketing and social media, with ideas and actions you can continue implementing after the day.
Most importantly, you should have a much clearer answer to: “What does my business need next?”
A full day gives you the space to step away from everyday distractions, think properly, ask questions, discuss ideas, get fresh perspectives and start doing the work while Michelle and Tracy are there to guide you.
No. You’ll be encouraged to think honestly about your business and work with information that helps you make useful decisions, but you won’t be expected to share confidential financial figures or anything else you’d prefer to keep private with the group.
We understand that running a business often has to fit around family, caring responsibilities and other commitments.
If you do need to leave a little early, that’s absolutely fine. We’d encourage you to stay for as much of the day as possible so you can benefit from the full journey from business strategy through to marketing and practical action.
Yes. Your £129 ticket includes a cold buffet-style lunch, along with tea, coffee and refreshments throughout the day.
Dietary requirements can be catered for. You’ll be able to let us know about any requirements during the checkout process.
Yes, free on-site parking is available at Great Moorleaze Farm. The Barn is a single-storey building so is accessible.
Of course. Many women come to BWi events on their own, and you won’t be expected to walk into a room and already know people.
The day is designed to be welcoming and interactive, with opportunities to talk, share ideas and connect naturally throughout the workshop, during breaks and over lunch.
You’re very welcome to come exactly as you are, whether you’re already part of the BWi community or this will be your first BWi event.
Your ticket includes the full in-person workshop with Michelle Eddahar and Tracy Marland, practical workbooks and worksheets, dedicated time to work on your own business, opportunities to ask questions and gain fresh perspectives, lunch, refreshments and free parking.
