Following our first ever Wiltshire Women in Business Big Event at Cleeve House, in June 2018, we now celebrate all things Business Women in… by holding Big Events throughout the year.

Our winning formula is stunningly simple:

  • Always hold our events somewhere fabulous
  • Have free-flowing tea and coffee on tap
  • Provide a delicious lunch
  • Have the most talented and inspiring speakers

If that isn’t fantastic enough, there’s always plenty of time throughout the day to meet likeminded business women, network, establish business relationships, forge lasting friendships and, of course, have lots of fun!

The Big Event 

October 2019

The wait is over! We are delighted to announce that our next Business Women in… Big Event will be on Thursday October 3rd at the wonderful Marlborough Golf Club. With fabulous views across the Marlborough Downs and masses of free parking, it will provide the perfect backdrop for what promises to be another great networking event.

About the Day

Following the success of previous Big Events, we have arranged a similar day at Marlborough Golf Club filled with quality guest speakers and plenty of networking opportunities.  For the first time (due to its popularity at our Meet Ups) we are also including an audience Q&A style ‘Business Surgery’ (the perfect opportunity to get all those niggly business-related questions answered).

There are a few last-minute tweaks to be made but our Business Women in… Big Event should look something like this:

Instead of being celebrated as one of the foundations of physical and psychological wellbeing, the necessity of a good healthy poo seems to have been moved to the bottom of the list and is bringing up the rear of our health priorities. Katherine Brooke-MacKenzie is passionate about poo, and in this friendly, engaging and enlightening talk, she will bring the often trivialised subject of poop, toilet habits and functional digestion into the spotlight for further analysis.

Katherine has been working in the field of holistic complementary health for over twenty years, focussing on people with tummy troubles for the last fifteen. She is the proprietor of The Healthy Gut Clinic in Chippenham, which offers a range of services targeted to support those with gut related issues. She is a highly experienced Colon Hydrotherapy practitioner, has a degree in Traditional Five Element Acupuncture, and is a qualified mBIT Coach. She has also studied NLP, EFT and PSYCH-K®️.

Running a business in today’s busy and hectic world, means you have to work hard to be seen. Helen helps businesses amplify their impact and, having been a primary school teacher for a decade, understands the importance of getting a message across clearly and effectively to a target audience. Eight years ago, she retrained as a designer, working for a London agency before going fully freelance and building up a lovely client base in Wiltshire and beyond. Helen works with a variety of businesses to help gain a deeper understanding of their audience, ensuring their visual content (branding, website design, social media, campaigns etc.) meets the needs of their customers. In her talk, Helen will show you how to create effective, professional-looking visuals that will help attract your target audience.

Although I was out of my comfort zone, I felt like I already knew the group and it didn’t take long at all to get merrily chatting away. Thank you to all I met for sharing your stories. I either met similar like-minded ladies or thoughtful & inspirational ones.

My brain is buzzing with loads of ideas about my business and how I can better get myself ‘out there’. I felt a real sense of community and mutual support. The speakers were fantastic and provided so much to think about. Great day!
